The blog has needed some loving lately! Thankfully the sparse updates haven’t kept a steady stream of awesome couples from finding our work. Micah and Charisse are our latest couple to be engaged, and they chose the iconic Brooklyn Heights neighborhood for their city style engagement session!
We started off beautifully atop the popular Towers building, which features some great vintage brickwork and trademark spires adorning the corners. I just adore the golden sun reflecting off warm bricks, creating a beautiful glow.
Coming down to street level, we had a nice stroll through the beloved neighborhood. I’m fairly sure the residents here sometimes get tired of having pretty couples and photographers taking pictures on their steps and/or property. I could be wrong. Maybe they love it. Perhaps that’s why the fronts of their houses are so well maintained. For engagement pictures. That’s right…
Next up is the famous Brooklyn Promenade and lovely views of Manhattan just across the water.
At this point I had discovered that my lovely couple had not eaten! Had to fix that. We dropped by the restaurant in Brooklyn Bridge Park for a round of lemonades and burgers (Not pictured. Too messy. But a burger’s not a burger if things don’t get messy!)
After a meal, the sun was in my favorite spot! Just kissing the city skyline.
Walked along the street in Dumbo and by one of my favorite picturesque cafes, and Washington St. of course.
The real treat of this session was to realize a night time city skyline vision that Charisse had really wanted. So after a quick outfit change and an elevator ride, we found ourselves making some memorable images on a rare sunset evening on a rooftop looking out at the city just waking up for the night. Love.
Congratulations Charisse & Micah! Looking forward to the beautiful wedding later this year!
